Evening Journal Entry- Thursday

When Jake woke up from his nap he woke up crying. I fed him and that calmed him down. Then I played with him a little. Then I read my book and he just watched me. Jake just likes to look at objects. So he was not bored. Then I gave him dinner. He even started eating baby food!!! It was so exciting! I found out he likes to eat mashed carrots. Then I gave him a bath. When I put him to bed he looked very tired. I sang him a lullaby and in 10 minutes he was fast asleep.
Challenges: Trying to sneak in the room so you don't wake him up.

Morning Journal Entry- Thursday

This morning I woke Jake up for school and I fed him and dressed him. Then we drove in the car to school. He was being a very good boy during computer. During gym I set him down next to Bobby, Chaim, Milly, Lilly and Jack. He became great friends with everyone. The gym teacher watched Jake will we played. Next, I changed his diaper and fed him a little more when I had free time in Social Studies. During Lunch I fed him and he watched me take a test during lunch. Then I had to go to a program so I left Jake in the responsible hands of my friend. Next, he came to me to my lesson with me. Then I took him home and I put him down for a nap.

Challenges: Always having to find someone to take care of your baby when you can't.

Evening Journal Entry- Wednesday

After Jake woke up from his nap he spit up a little bit but I ducked so it didn't get on me. But it did get on the carpet so I have to clean that up. Anyway I played with him by rolling around a ball. Jake loved it he kept laughing! Anyway I changed his diaper again. I was doing a lot of homework so I did not have as much time to play with him as usual. I fed him dinner. And now I am going to give him another bath. I have been noticing that it is very hard to give Jake a bathe because he always wiggles. It's very hard to keep him still. Anyway , after that I'm going to play with him a little more and then put him to bed. Jake usually cries when I put him to bed though.
Challenges: Jake cries a lot in class, and he wiggles a lot when I am giving him a bath.

Morning Journal Entry- Wednesday

This morning Jake woke up and wouldn't stop crying! It took me such a long time to calm him down. Then I dressed him in his favorite blue vest and fed him his breakfast. I also changed his diaper. Then we went to school. He was very good during periods 1 and 3 but during lunch we went outside and he didn't like all the people. During our mentoring program so many people were very disrespectful to Jake so I told that he is my baby and they should treat him like that. Today he made one more friend , Jack. They get along so well together. Anyway Jake cried a lot more during math class. And now he is taking a nap.

Evening Journal Enrty- Tuesday

After Jake's nap we went to my sister's softball game. It was cold so I made sure I kept him warm by hugging him and wrapping him in a blanket. After the game I went home and gave him a bath and changed his diaper. Also I played with him and fed Jake his dinner. Then I put him to sleep because I went to another baseball game. I made sure there was a responsible baby sitter to take care of him though.
Challenges: Always having to get a baby sitter for Jake.

Morning Journal Entry- Tuesday

Jake woke up around 7:00 am this morning. I fed him and changed his diaper. The we went to school. It was very hard to find time to feed him and change his diaper. I changed his diaper and fed him during breaks. At 11:35 I fed him lunch. He also took a morning nap. He is getting along great with the other babies. I think he even might have made a couple of new friends. When I got home from school I put Jake down for an evening nap.
Challenges: It was hard to find time to feed Jake and change his diaper.

Evening Journal Entry- Monday

When Jake woke up from his nap he woke up screaming so I calmed him down. I also fed him dinner and changed his diaper. Next, I played with him a little. Then I gave him a bath. It was difficult to give him a bath because he kept slipping. Next I'm going to put him to bed.
Challenges: It was hard to give Jake a bath because he kept slipping when I held him with one hand and cleaned him with the other.

Jake woke up at 7:00 am this morning. I dressed him and fed him. I also changed his diaper. I went to school today so Jake came with me. It was very hard to feed him and change his diaper at school because I did not have very much time. I fed him during breaks. After school, Jake came home and took a nap.
Challenges: It was very hard to get things and put away things in my locker when I had to hold Jake.

Evening Journal Entry- Sunday

In the afternoon, I took Jake for a walk in my neighborhood so he could get some fresh air. Next I played with him. Then I put him down for a short nap. I fed him a little more but he spit up all over me. Anyway, in the evening I had softball practice so I left Jake with a responsible baby sitter. The baby sitter said she fed him, changed his diaper, played with him and put him to bed.

Challenges: Had to hire a baby sitter and he spit up all over me.

Morning Journal Entry - Sunday

This morning Jake woke up around 7:30 am and I fed him because he was hungry. Then I dressed him and played with a rattle with him. Around 11:00 am we went to my brother's baseball game. We could not find the right field right away so I had to carry around a bunch of heavy things including Jake until we found the right field. I made sure to shield his head from any foul balls . One came pretty close. Then it started raining a little bit so I had to shield Jake to make sure he didn't get wet. When the game was over we went home. I changed Jake's diaper and fed him a little more. Next I sang some songs to him like the ABC's , old McDonald, and wheels on the bus. Then , I put him down for a nap. Before he went to bed I turned on a toy that would sing him a lullaby.
Challenges: Heavy to carry around everywhere. Not a lot of free time to do homework.
